I orchestrated, prepared and conducted Rhian Sheehan's score for David Stubbs's documentary drama, and wrote additional arrangements for the film. It premiered at the 2015 New Zealand International Film Festival, with a shorter version broadcast on TV One.

The film examines the death of Wainuiomata mother Janet Moses during a mākutu lifting in 2007, using interviews and reenactment to sit with a tragedy that Stubbs describes as fear and love turning into hysteria. Five members of Janet's family were charged following her death. Kura Forrester plays Janet.

The subject is dark and contested and it is somebody's real death, so the score had to hold love, tension, confusion and something spiritual at once, without settling into any of them or telling the audience what to feel. Strings and piano, and nothing to hide behind. It is still the film orchestration I am proudest of.
