Felix Buxton recording session in Sydney

I’ve had the most wonderful privilege to work with Felix Buxton (Basement Jaxx) on a very special new project of his. It is still to be announced, but here are some pictures from the recording session at Sydney’s Trackdown Studios.

Sarah-Grace Williams conducted The Metropolitan Orchestra (TMO) and Craig Beckett engineered.

We had a string, woodwind, piano/celeste and harp session, a brass session, and a timpani and keyboard pickup session.

It was a most intense run orchestrating and preparing 20 or the 22 charts for this one, so it was great to hear it come to life. Tom Kelly (London, UK) and Grant Windsor (Perth, AUS) both also provided a fantastic chart each.

I look forward to posting more about this as it takes shape.
