Ryan has written for and worked with full symphony orchestras, wind orchestras, choirs, contemporary ensembles, individual artists, as well as youth and junior orchestras.

Experience
Ryan has had music premiered, recorded or workshopped by ensembles such as the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, Southern Sinfonia, Auckland Symphony Orchestra, The Committee, Marama Chamber Orchestra, Dunedin Youth Orchestra, Southern Consort of Singers and artists including Sarah Watkins, Takumi Motokawa and Youri Jeon. He has also had numerous premieres and recordings by university, community and junior ensembles.
Ryan is trained and experienced, holding both Bachelor of Music (first class honours) and Master of Music degrees, during which time he has studied with Anthony Ritchie, Jack Body, John Psathas, Michael Norris, Lyell Cresswell and Peter Adams. Ryan is also a performer, conductor and a teacher of theory and musicianship, this bringing a wealth of invaluable experience to all of his work.
