Hey all!! Well had a great trip back to Auckland. Went to Feilding for a night, then went up to Taupo, then carried on to Auckland. Was good!! Had a great stop for lunch on the Desert Rd on the way … photo below:
In fact took some great “arty” photos too so will stick them up in the photography gallery soon. Since I got home I’ve unpacked everything, set my room up, and then just been working on some pieces. Tuesday was first week of our summer hockey season!! EXCITING!! We won 14-0!! lol Anyway I must get back to work. Bye for now.

Ok as I’m sure most of you know, most of John Williams’ film scores are taken from classical works … in fact basically all of them. Anyway last night was at a NZSO concert and I swear in Sibelius’ 3rd Symphony, there were FOUR themes from John Williams’ Jurassic Park. Has anyone else recognised these?? Or was I just hearing things?? Let me know…
I can’t believe it is only two weeks until I move back to Auckland. I thought it was three weeks until this morning. The weeks are going to fly by as well as I have so many things I want to do before I leave. Not to worry, it is good to be busy.
The plan for Auckland? Well have LOTS of music to compose (quite a scary amount actually) so as soon as I get home will spend a day or two setting up all my “gear” lol and then compose compose compose. Will be playing some concerts with the Auckland Symphony and looking for some jobs and just getting “back in the loop”. Am heading to Dunedin mid-December for a week or so then to Feilding for Christmas. So will be busy and FUN!!

Hey does anyone know if you can edit the default WordPress theme?? Cause I just want to make a few little changes but it won’t let me. Hmmmmm
Well surprise surprise, the website now looks a little different. It’s probably not a good thing, but I can’t go for too long with my website looking exactly the same. I think the problem is that I’m always browsing through other peoples sites and I’m continually learning more about design and web stuff. Maybe I have too much time on my hands. lol I’m tempted to say I “really like the way it is now” but it just occurred to me that I say that after every new site goes up. lol Anyway if things don’t work or you have ANY feedback, please leave a comment or email me.

Hey everyone, another NZ events page is eventfinder.co.nz. It stacks up against NZLive really well for browsing through. But the catch is that to list events, or to monitor events, you have to pay. There is a free option but you can only list OR monitor ONE event at a time. NZLive seems to do everything it can plus a bit more and it’s free. Eventfinder have been around since the beginning of the year, so it will be interesting to see if/what they introduce to have that something different against NZLive. Anyway it IS a great site and definitely worth a look if you’re on the hunt for events.
